I Have Rushed Ahead

And Cancelled My Future!

Has anyone else wondered what you will do on Saturdays this fall without college football?  I love it and I am really going  to miss it!  I am personally finding it a bit difficult these days to stay focused on each day,  to just surrender into the moment and not rush ahead to next week or next month.  We are truly living day by day and is hard for me not to worry, worry, worry about the months ahead.  Believe me, I don’t want to worry.   I really don’t.  But I am human in the midst of a pandemic and I struggle with the great unknown.

Interestingly, our anniversary is this week, and I am reminded of the reading from Matthew 6 that we chose for our wedding 44 years ago, ending with the words, “So then, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.  Today has enough trouble of its own.”  What I know for sure 44 years later, is that our faith is a practice and we are getting plenty of opportunities to practice these days.  So let’s do it together.  On and off of our yoga mats.

Join us this week as our spiritual focus is on Trusting God

as we breathe, stretch, and pray.
