Our Inspiration
Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (NLT)
Your Kitchen
God has given us these amazing bodies and it’s our responsibility to care for them in a way that honors Her. She also provides us with what we need from the earth to keep our bodies functioning to the best of their ability.
Hopefully, you made it to the grocery yesterday to load up on all of the good things of the earth. If not, go today so you are surrounded by healthy options. Because today we are going to purge the unhealthy ones from our presence!
Registered Dietician and Monday night tribe member Monica Cengia shared a great concept with me. “If you were redecorating your living room, you would move out all of the furnishings that you didn’t need anymore. Make over the way you think about food by doing the same thing, remodel the way you think about food.” Remodeling your thinking means remodeling your behavior. Start with remodeling your pantry, cupboards, refrigerator, as well as those places where you stash food. True confession, I keep snacks in the console of my car. I guess i’m afraid I will die of hunger some day out on the road. How about you? Do you stash or hoard? Let’s eliminate the temptation and get the unhealthy stuff out of our reach!
If you are going to remodel the way you think about eating then you are going to have to remodel your kitchen.
Today, choose to clean out your refrigerator, pantry and cupboards . Get rid of the things you can’t resist and let them go for now. Yes you can have potato chips again, sometime. But for now, say “See you later, old friend!”. Give your kitchen a facelift today!

I started my remodeling in May and have reintroduced any “out of style” eating habits yet! Hopefully this is a life change for me and my husband!
Jesus came to give us life Abundantly…!

You have taken some big steps already!Living large!
Great analogy! It’s true that good health starts with our thinking. Out with the old and in with the new can be easier said than done, so don’t get discouraged!
I have a lot of snacks in my pantry that are going in the trash today
Today’s challenge is emergency travel.
I packed protein bars, my water bottle and fresh veggies with hummus & nuts
I Can learn from you and Bona to be better prepared when I travel. It always throws me for a loop and I end up eating junk
How is it going out there ladies? Is everybody working on a plan every day? How did your shopping go? I love cleaning out closets and getting rid of things so today is fun for me. Purge, purge, purge!
After yoga this morning, I was tempted to stop at Boosalis (my absolute favorite bakery) for a wonderful pastry and a fresh French baguette to serve with dinner. I resisted. Without this mindful eating reminder, I would have succumbed to the temptation. Thank you Sherri and group for keeping me motivated. .
Amazing what we can do when we think!
Traveled this week but lost 1/2 lb! I’m happy!
My pantry vice was an open bag of chips. Instead, I put an easy to open container of low or no salt mixed nuts. I get my snack urge covered with food from the earth. I am trying to take the extra effort to reach into the fridge for veggies and fruit as a snack, but those options emerge more readily for me
at meal time.
