2 Corinthians 12:9-11 The Passion Translation (TPT)

But God answered me, “My grace is always more than enough for you, and my power finds its full expression through your weakness.” So I will celebrate my weaknesses, for when I’m weak I sense more deeply the mighty power of Christ living in me. So I’m not defeated by my weakness, but delighted! For when I feel my weakness and endure mistreatment—when I’m surrounded with troubles on every side and face persecution because of my love for Christ—I am made yet stronger. For my weakness becomes a portal to God’s power.

What is your nemesis?

A nemesis is defined as  the agent of one”s downfall, an arch enemy.  BINGO!  I’VE GO ONE AND IT’S NAME IS CANE SUGAR.  Sugar wraps it’s sticky claws around my neck and pulls me into it’s lair.  And it is secretly infused into almost all prepared and processed foods.  Sneaky, sneaky, sneaky.  Can you say “addiction’?  This is my nemesis.  What is yours?  Bread? Alcohol? Salty snacks? Ice Cream? Today we face the beast.  Today we name the agent of our downfall, we own our weakness and we surrender if to the One who gives us strength.  I am told that the best way to slay the dragons to go cold turkey. Friends, this scares me. Can I do it?  Today I will cling to these verses in 2 Corinthians., remembering that my weakness is a portal to God’s power.  And what could be better than tapping into God’s power?  We’ve got this, friends.  Pray for me.  I will be praying for you.

Today face your nemesis.  Commit to slaying if for the next hour, and then the next hour, and then the next.  Keep these verses close by and let them feed you today. Let them be your source of satisfaction.
